No accounts, no stored readings
MyTarot.Day doesn't require sign-up, and it doesn't use a database. You draw your reading by shuffling the deck and clicking four cards yourself, right in your browser — which four cards you pick is never sent to us. Only your device's local date and your selected display language are sent to our server, only long enough to generate your reading, then discarded. We don't save them, and we don't build a profile of you.
What is processed, and why
- Your device's local date — used so your reading is drawn for your actual calendar day, wherever you are. Not stored.
- Your selected display language — used to return the reading text in the language you're reading the site in. Not stored beyond the one functional cookie described below.
- IP address — used transiently, in server memory only, to apply a brief delay if a large number of readings are requested in a short time (our anti-spam protection). This information is not written to disk and is cleared automatically after an hour of inactivity from that address.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The MyTarot.Day website sets one cookie of its own,
locale_choice, to remember which language you're reading
in so you're not redirected to a browser-language guess on a repeat
visit. It's strictly functional — not used for analytics, advertising,
or tracking you across sites — and expires after a year.
Beyond that one cookie, the website relies on a small number of third-party services to run and to support its costs:
- Google Analytics (via Google's tag manager script) — measures page views and general usage patterns (browser type, approximate location from IP address, pages visited, referral source). Google may set its own cookies for this purpose. See Google's Privacy Policy and Ad Settings for how to opt out of personalized measurement.
- Display advertising — the site shows banner ads served by a third-party ad network to help cover hosting and development costs. That network may set its own cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, under its own privacy policy, independent of MyTarot.Day.
- Cloudflare — provides security, content delivery, and font hosting for the site, and runs an anonymous, aggregate performance-monitoring beacon (page-load timing) as part of that service. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
None of these third parties receive your reading or which cards you picked — that data is handled only as described in "What is processed, and why" above, and never reaches Google, our ad partner, or Cloudflare's analytics. Most browsers let you block or clear third-party cookies in their settings; doing so won't affect your ability to get a reading. (The MyTarotDay Android app has a different, additional set of ad-related data practices — see below.)

MyTarotDay Android app
The sections above describe MyTarot.Day, the website. The MyTarotDay Android app still asks for a birth date and a personal number in its own screens and sends them to the same server as your device date — none of it is stored, and neither the birth date nor the number actually affects the reading you're given. The app differs from the website in one further respect: it shows ads, served by Google AdMob, to support the free reading tool.
To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect your device's advertising ID, general device/network information, and approximate location, and may use this information to personalize the ads you see. You can review or reset your Android advertising ID, and opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Google Settings ▸ Ads. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
